Social advertizing in Russian Federation makes you better

Social promotion is not so effective in former Soviet Union as it can seem. Even in 1980s social advertising took essencial place in everyday life. All Russians who lived in those years remember social posters and video spots where ideas of responsibility were declared. The following mottos were so much popular: “Save our nature, it’s our mpther”, “Matches are not toys for boys” etc. All those social advertisments were sponsored by Soviet government and created by governmental institutions. At the moment everything has changed and we can find lots different social advertising which is supported by official government, non-commercial organizations and private persons. Much money is spent every year on various social campaigns which are created by strong media campaigns with movie spots, social posters, logos etc.
A great deal of international non-commercial companies work on the territory of former Soviet Union and many social advertisments from different countries can ve found at the moment in Russia. I am sure that it is really good as we have a unique chance to use best Ameriacan experience in the sphere of social advertizing as our own traditions in this sphere are very weak but we have a great deal of ideas and creative directors who can make all them effective. That’s why various competitions of social advertising are so popular now in former Soviet Union and many professional advertising companies took an active part in such kind of events and if you enter RuTube you can search for many social spots created by the leading local firms but usually the visualization of social problems leaves much to be desired. Still there are quite a lot of interesting social movies on tobacco addiction and other issues. But certainly, we should always keep in mind about the following situation in Russia and the main problems which the government has to solve. One of such problems is demographic decrease as too many people die in Russian Federation and they know that they should force families to give more births. As an example of social advertizing which concentrated on demographic issues we can state on social posters which were placed in Moscow metro with a woman with three children on her knees. This post gives more questions rather than gives replys as there is no male on this poster and the woman looks disappointed.
I think that social promotion in former Soviet Union just starts its way and in the nearest future we will see lots of great examples of video spots and social posters as well as complicated social campaigns.
